FitFeud allows any organization or group to easily set up and track fitness competitions to motivate their people to reach their health and fitness goals. Participants sign-up and report their progress at a private, secure web site and are able to see real-time personal statistics and overall competition rankings.
We know every organization is different, so FitFeud doesn't lock you into one set of program options. If you can count it, you can compete on it. Of course, The Biggest Loser, has made weight loss competitions extremely popular, but there are tons of other things that might work better for your organization. For example:
It doesn't even have to be exercise-related. Imagine challenging your employees to eat healthier by having a competition on number of salads eaten or number of servings of fruits and vegetables. Like we said, if you can count it, you can compete on it! That's what makes it fun!
Direct competition is what FitFeud is all about, but sometimes it's more fun - or just makes more sense - if you compete in teams. That's why with FitFeud you can choose to set up your competition as either a head-to-head every person for themselves battle royale or divide everyone up into teams and let the groups go at it.
Teams can be random or can be segmented by department or even office location to add a bit of extra healthy competition.
We all live busy lives, and we all forget things sometimes. We understand. That's why FitFeud sends out (optional) email reminders to participants, so in case they do forget, they get a little nudge. Even if someone didn't see (or chose to ignore) the email, on-screen messages are shown to participants when it's time to check-in.
Everybody loves stats. FitFeud fitness competition participants get real-time statistics that show them not only where they or their team ranks in the competition, but they can also track their own personal statistics. We even let people compare their performance to the team or competition average to see how they stack up with the rest, which is a powerful motivator.
You know it's working, if you can measure it. (We stole that line from our friends over at OPower.)
This is such a popular and awesome feature, we recently wrote a whole blog post about it. Competition Chat is a Twitter-like messaging system that allows FitFeud competitors to post short messages to everyone else in the competition. When you log into FitFeud, you immediately see the new messages your competitors have posted.
This is especially great for distributed teams who may not actually see each other on a daily or weekly basis - or ever. It allows everyone to get personally involved and exchange either some friendly jabs or some helpful advice.
FitFeud takes about 3 clicks and less than 20-seconds to use - and participants can choose to report their progress daily or weekly.
We find it funny that some online corporate wellness systems tout "increased productivity" as a benefit, but yet they require tons of data entry (calories consumed, hours of sleep, detailed food records, exercise detail, etc.) and daily interaction of 5-15 minutes a day by your people to use. That doesn't sound too productive to us, and who needs more data entry in their life?
